Imagawa Sadayo
1325 - 1420
Imagawa Sadayo, AKA Ryoshun,
was the author of the "Nan-Taiheiki", a critique of the TaiHeiki which
he wrote in 1402. He served under the 2nd Ashikaga Shogun, Yoshiakira. His father
was a follower of Ashikaga Takauji, and was awarded constableship of Suruga
province. Sadayo was sent by the Muromachi Bakufu to Kyushu as Tandai (intendant)
in 1370. By 1381, he had subdued the local followers of the southern court. Shibukawa
Mitsuyori replaced him as Tandai of Kyushu in 1395. He was an ancestor of Imagawa
Yoshimoto.
