- Location: Mikawa province
Okazaki castle, in Mikawa province, was the seat of the Shiga clan, rulers of Okazaki han. Tokugawa Ieyasu lived there for a time early in his life.[1]
Mizuno Tadayuki was lord of the castle for a time in the early 18th century.
Okazaki was also a major post-station along the Tôkaidô.
